A year ago, I probably would have taken the money – or at least felt stupid about giving the item away.  But recent changes in my life helped put this in perspective.  I need to do more of this.

The original plan to come out of Warp directly into the atmosphere of Qo’noS for the toy drop was expressly denied by Starfleet command. Our backup strategy to beam the toys directly into Klingon homes from a position behind Praxis was accepted.

It has been decided this year that Tribbles will be donated to the children of the Klingon High Command to “soften things up.” Since they are harmless and considered a culinary delicacy on the Klingon agricultural planets, this was deemed acceptable by the Toy Drive committee.

This was a tough project, years in the making, super complex problems, lots of smart people building a product out of a million micro decisions all bent on a plan that just had to get out by the end of 2009.  The result is impressive and I hope this product goes a long way towards a significantly better consumer experience and also giving our venue clients world-class tools to build rapport with their fan base.

And, hey, seat maps are cool!

I really like Book Soup, but I have a hard time actually buying any books there.  As a matter of fact, the only books I’ve purchased didn’t have any writing in them – they are called moleskines.  ”Rare, hard to find books” translates to “books nobody wants” to me – it’s silly that people put a value on this.

I hope Vroman’s makes it better – if they can make it anything like the Pasadena store on Colorado that would be fantastic.

So I dumped it, completely.  In it’s place I’ve picked up things like playing guitar, fixing model airplanes, calling old friends, heading out to dinner.  And it’s been great.  I have “done” more since the separation.

It’s sad that we are reduced to human interaction through a computer screen – truly.  The adventure is out there.

Yet, here I am blogging.  Hah.

The 3 songs I learned tonight used the same basic chords, just in a different order: The Freshman by Verve Pipe, Brown Eyed Girl by Van Morrison, Losing my Religion by REM.

So, ironically, we are left with our first DVD player. Scratches, weird noises and all.  Kinda reminds me of Wall-E.

It’s a Mintek that we got at Costco (and it even outlasted the company that made it, they are out of business).

You should allow special characters in your fields. It’s just a little bit more work for your software engineers; I’m shocked it’s forbidden to process them.
